writerjenn's Summer Reading challenge a go. I don't know if I'll make it considering the size of most of the books in my TBR pile, but I'm willing to give it a shot.I do have Book 1 of the challenge in my hands. I went to B&N today and came away with 5 books. The first one:
Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson (
mistborn). I've been waiting for this one and have already cracked open the book. He published this online already, in all of its various draft forms, allowing the reader a rare look at the creative writing process. Even the rough drafts were entertaining.Besides that I picked up all 4 books of Greg Keyes' Thorn and Bone series. Here are the titles:
- The Briar King
- The Charnel Prince
- The Blood Knight
- The Born Queen
One last note. I've completely lost count of how many books I've purchased so far this year. All I know is it's a lot.
