Crossed the first finish line in my NaNo project

So, I just crossed the 50,000 word mark in my NaNo project, so apparently I've won. While that's pretty cool, I'm still just shy of the halfway mark in this project and I need to finish this first draft before returning to my WIP as the specific events, especially surrounding this project's end scenes are pivotal to the plot of my WIP.

I have made substantial progress towards this ending, even though it is many tens of thousands of words away. I finally found the perfect spot to introduce my oft-mentioned off-screen character as a POV character now active in the plot.

Also, I believe I have managed to discover the location where the finale of this story takes place. And I'm toying with the idea of tying all of that into a cataclysmic event that effectively reshapes all human life in my second-world universe.

Anyway, I'm excited about this project as I'm discovering things about this world I didn't know before. And it will go a long way towards improving my other stories already in mind.

So, I'm going to continue NaNoing with everyone this month and then NaNo in December on my own as I really want to get this whole first draft down. My goal is to have a first draft completed before New Years Day.

So, here's the NaNo word meter:

51528 / 50000 words. 103% done!

It feels good.
