Yet another NaNo update

Just popping in for yet another NaNo update. I've just started what would be Part Two of the novel, at which time I expand from two POV characters to four.

Anyway, here's the obligatory progress bar:

40708 / 50000 words. 81% done!

While I'm closing in on 50,000 words I'm nowhere near the end of the first draft of this book. (Having just started Part Two as I mentioned above should be a clear enough indication as to that.) So, I'll keep plugging away. I'm fiddling around with the idea of making my November goal 75,000 words. That won't bring me to the end of draft one either but it should put me on track to finish this backstory novel by the end of December.

That way I can get back to my WIP with the new year.

You're brave, planning to keep on keeping on through December. Much as I'm enjoying Nano, I'll be glad when December comes and I can slacken the pace a bit. My first draft won't be finished at 50,000 words either, but I'm hoping to at least get an outline roughed out for whatever's left to go at the end of November.

You're doing really well to get so much writing done while still working full time. Are you going to put up an excerpt on your Nano page? I'm curious to see what's keeping you so busy!

By the way, I sent you Nanomail a while back. Nothing important, but I notice you haven't read it yet. Did you know you had mail?

Thanks for the heads up about the Nanomail. I sent you a reply. Also, I just posted chapter one on my NaNo profile.

I enjoyed reading the excerpt you've got posted. In a few short words you managed to convey quite a lot and left me wanting more.
