Made it...just barely

It wasn't easy (yet it was fun), but I managed to hit my goal of 25,000 words on the WIP by the end of the month. Next I'll see if I can knock out another 25,000 words in August. Right now, I've reached the 1/4 mark of the first draft of my WIP. Whether I really am at that point remains to be seen. I'm not locked into the 100,000 word length for the book. I'll see where the story ends up going before it reaches its conclusion. I think 100,000 may be realistic though.

I'm hoping to do more writing this weekend, however, my priority is to read through all 25,000 words to get a feel for how the first draft is developing. I feel good about the story so far. I've stuck with 3 POV characters though I'm still tossing around the possibility of two more POV characters. I'd really prefer to not have to expand the book in such a way but only time and getting deeper into the first draft will finally answer whether that is possible.
